Trinis impact Florida Development
Collin Forde, a realtor, and Ken Logan, an electrician and builder, have impacted the way real estate is bought and sold in Palm Bay, Florida. Being a realtor in the area for almost three years Forde has built an impressive list of faithful clients made up mostly of West Indians who have moved to the area. He has teamed up with Logan, a general contractor, to build for clients looking for quality homes, with many upgrades, which come standard in his homes. They recently contracted with a renowned hardware owner from Trinidad to build two homes.
When they initially started working together their thoughts and ideas were so similar that it seemed unreal. “I get the client, find them the lot, qualify them for a loan and Ken builds a remarkable house for them,” states Forde.
After working together for a few years Forde decided to sell his house and contract Logan to build one for him and his wife. It is scheduled to be completed in the next few months. As owner of DJL Construction and Ken Electric, Logan has been an electrical contractor for the past 14 years building a stellar reputation as one of Brevard County’s biggest and most reliable contractors and is on the fast track to do the same with his construction company. Forde also encourages the investor to consider commercial real estate investments. Commercial real estate rose 44 percent in 2005 to a record 268 billion dollars.
This does not include transactions valued at less than five million dollars. “I am involved with local, national and international investors looking to invest in commercial property, especially here in Central Florida,” Forde says. Logan also specialises in building multifamily structures.
Palm Bay and Brevard County as a whole are an up and coming area conducive to investment. Forde encourages anyone interested in investing in the area to do so now. Collin Forde can be contacted at: 321-258- 5076, or 321-394-7880; website: collinfinehomes.com
