Unity ...not easy — Dookeran

In his Liberation Day message, Dookeran praised their courage and achievements, saying that they had preserved their identity while becoming one of the main players in the struggle for enduring national unity, equity and social justice.

“The struggle for equality and a national identity for the members of the Spiritual Shouter Baptist community has never been an easy one, and yet members of the faith all through their years of advocacy have always been accommodating and understanding of all our religions and faiths,” Dookeran said.
