The bar coding of Trinidad and Tobago

I looked at a TV programme recently in which a guest was being interviewed and he was proposing that children, their book bags, books etc be implanted with a chip so that they may be traced at all times. All well and good. We can also implant all new born babies and infants with this chip just as they were vaccinated in the good old days.

We know that all new passports will be implanted/bar coded and I imagine all driver’s permits, ID cards and credit/debit cards will be similarly treated. What other methods can be used to bar code all the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago? Can our friendly dentists, doctors, pharmacists be used? Will the bakery items contain a few of these miniature chips? Once every citizen is bar coded this can lead to some very interesting situations. For example, wayward husbands and wives beware!

If Trinidad and Tobago is going to be the first nation to be bar coded, who suggested this experiment? The CIA?
