Couva mas prize-giving today

Prizes totalling $120,000 will be distributed to bands and individuals. Senator Joan Yuille-Williams, Minister of Culture and Gender Affairs, as well as members of the National Carnival Commission and the Regional Carnival Committee are expected to attend. The Couva Band of the Year title was won by “From the Barbaric Age” with “Together Again History in Fantasy” and “Dream Come True” placing second and third respectively.

Special Awards will be given to Original Whipmasters; Sailors Astray; Tribute to Leroy Steele and Sheriff Ali as well as the Mud Band.
