Sailing against cancer

To this end, the Trinidad and Tobago Sailing Association promises to donate the proceeds from the Sixth Annual Cancer Benefit Regatta as well as the Silent Auction to the TT Cancer Society.

It is expected that this will assist in purchasing a “Logic 3” ultra-sound system and accessories which would enable the performing of breast, abdominal, pelvic and prostate examination via ultra-sound.

With this new equipment the Cancer Society will no longer have to refer women needing this service to other facilities, at a cost beyond their means.

This will make continuity of care easier for the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago.

With the donation of this system, the Cancer Society will also be able to offer more complete breast screening services at a lower cost to the community. The regatta races will be held on Saturday April 8 and Sunday April 9, starting at l pm each day. The Silent Auction will also be held on April 8 from 1 pm to 4.30 pm.
