Borel-Brown cops shot put gold

In the men’s one-lap, Dovers’ Dwayne Herbert prevailed in 49.85, ahead of Phoenix’s Akini Pierre 49.90 and Concorde’s Sherman Kirk 50.32 while Kervin Morgan of Memphis was victorious in the Boys’ Under-20 quarter-mile in 48.05, with Brooklyn’s Ade Alleyne-Forte 48.26 and Memphis’ Jovan Toppin 48.75 trailing.

Caleigh Bacchus of Bishop Anstey leapt to gold in the women’s long jump with a best of 4.91m. Afeasha Dunbar of Point Fortin Civic Centre was second with 4.82m and Karlene Reyes of Neon (4.76m) Trackers third.

Antigua’s James Grayman and Barbados’ Damon Thompson shared gold in the men’s high jump after both cleared the bar in 2.10m, while Mikhail Courtney of Toco finished third with a best attempt of 1.85m.
