Touring Bermuda beat Fatima

Batting first, Bermuda gathered 179 all out off 30 overs and Fatima replied with 89 all out.

Maurico Bassett (43) and captain Jordon DeSilva (34) led Bermuda’s scoring before leg spinner Tre Govia (2-1), of spinner Marco Johnson (2-7), Kevon Fubler (2-18) and Stephen Dill (2-20) stifled Fatima’s reply and gave them victory. The result made up for their opening match loss on Saturday when South Modern Secondary School beat them by 48 runs. South Modern scored 230 for nine — against Dill (3-30) and DeSilva (3-46) — after electing to bat and restricted Bermuda to 182 all out in 35 overs.

Ryan Tyrell (41) led Bermuda’s scoring. The Bermuda Cricket Board (BCB), as part of its investment in developing the country’s youth team, sent the National Under-15 squad to a ten-day training camp here that includes practice matches.
