NCDF pays out royalties

The Carnival 2K5 royalty cheques can be collected at 27 Stone Street, Port-of-Spain, between 9 am and 1 pm.

The payments represent the organisation’s share of income from copyright and other intellectual property rights from several major sources, including The Tourism Development Company, Synergy TV, Advance Dynamics and Truevision.

Some 17 bands which stand to benefit are Tribe, Harts Ltd, Skandal-Us, Trevor Wallace & Associates, Curtis Reefer, Exodus, BOSS, Legacy, Masqu-erade, Poison, Genesis, MacFarlane & Friends, Mt Hope Connection, D’ Midas, Winston Daniel and Island Events.

Since its formation in 2003, the NCDF has made three payments to member bands in accordance with the Copyright Act.
