Labourer charged for doctor's murder

The suspect was arrested on Wednesday by a team of homicide officers led by Supt Ruthven Paul. The arrest of the man came after several weeks of investigation.

The charge was laid by Inspector Denoon of the Homicide Bureau and the man will appear before a San Fernando magistrate tomorrow.

Maharaj, a businessman and medical doctor, was murdered on January 11 at his San Fernando home. His body was found in the bathroom of the house by his common-law wife, Sumatee Enal.
