‘Kiss de Girls’ not a regular murder story
“Kiss de girls and make her...” is not your typical murder mystery, it provides enough contradictions and coincidences to keep patrons guessing. This production is filled with drama, suspense, thrills and of course good old Trini comedy.
“Kiss de girls and make her...” is a domestic thriller with more than one surprising twist. A teenage boy “Alan Clark” is accused of murdering a neighbour’s daughter, a girl with a loose reputation. It has a devastating effect on his wealthy family.
His mother is uncertain about his innocence, while his father is convinced that the police are trying to pin the crime on his son.
Alan’s mother is having an affair with her husband’s best friend, who is also a suspect, as his car was often seen parked on their street. Clark is devastated when he discovers the true reason for his best friend’s frequent visits to the street where they reside, he takes matters into his own hands, with tragic results.
The cast includes Raymond Choo Kong and Debra Boucaud Mason. Making his first theatre appearance for the year is Fareid Carvalho, semi-finalist in the King of Carnival competition. Other seasoned performers in the play are Karla Gonzales, Conrad Parris and Kurtis Gross, fresh from ‘The New Lucky Diamond Horse Shoe Club’ and Derek Walcott’s Steel. This production comes off at the Central Bank Auditorium from April 13-23. Show times are 8:30 pm with matinees at 5:30 pm. Tickets go are on sale today at the Central Bank Box Office.
