IETV cameraman robbed on highway

According to reports, Sirjoo was proceeding west and stopped at the traffic light at 11.30 pm. While waiting, there three heavily tinted cars surrounded Sirjoo’s car and five armed men jumped out and ordered Sirjoo out of the car. There was an exchange of words and a brief physical confrontation, and Sirjoo was ordered to hand over his car keys, wallet with $360 cash, credit cards and identification card. He was also relieved of his phone.

After several failed attempts to start the car, the bandits threw the car keys in a nearby drain and drove off. Police on patrol were later able to retrieve the car keys and helped Sirjoo file a report at the Traffic Branch, South Quay, Port-of-Spain.
