Blackout after TTEC explosion

Police said no one was injured in the incident. TTEC crews attached to the Central Division area along with fire units responded quickly and were able to keep the situation under control.

The areas affected included Carli Bay, Point Lisas and California. However, power to those areas were restored late yesterday evening except for the Caribbean Methanol and Methanol 3, 4 and 1 plants.

A TTEC release assured that all efforts were being made to ensure the situation is restored to normalcy by today. Fire officials are continuing their investigations into what may have caused the explosion.
