A YOUNG lawyer lost his life in a vehicular accident which took place on the Uriah Butler Highway, Chaguanas, yesterday.
Nicholas Rampersad, 24, of Exchange Lot, Couva was on his way home from his Port-of-Spain office at around 12.20 am when the accident occurred. Sunday Newsday was told Rampersad had been practising law for the past two years.
According to a police report, Rampersad was driving his silver Nissan Almera along the south bound lane of the highway, in the vicinity of the Divali Nagar site, when he lost control of the car. The woman, who was of East Indian descent, was believed to be the victim of a hit-and-run accident.
