TT entertainers Australia-bound

Scores of music industry personnel gathered at the St James Amphitheatre, St James, to hear what the Red Bull Music Academy had to offer. They were treated to lectures/discussions by Alvin Daniell (copyright), Carl Beaver Henderson (change in the industry) and producer Clevie of the duo Steely and Clevie out of Jamaica.

Red Bull in collaboration with Triniscene.com organised the event where Trinidadians were able to register for a chance to go to Australia in October. They can qualify based on the work submitted. Trinidadians will be joined by their Caribbean counterparts from Jamaica and Barbados as well as the rest of the world as 60 music industry personnel will be chosen for the workshop in Melbourne.

Over the last nine years the international workshop has been held in Berlin (’98 and ’99), Dublin (2000), New York ( ’01), London (’02), Sao Paulo (’02), Cape Town (’03), Rome (’04) and Seattle (’05).
