Harding goes back to Caymanas

Harding who became the first “foreign” rider to win the Jamaica champion jockey title after 35 years, returned home to ride at the 12-race Bookmakers Association of Trinidad and Tobago Indian Arrival Day programme.

And he showed his peers, including the young apprentice riders, just how it is done, landing two winners in Uram and Mucho Tempo in eight rides. He finished third once and fourth on one occasion, but managed only sixth in the feature Bookmakers Association Guineas Stakes astride Windjammer.

On his return to Caymanas, Harding will be astride Lil’ Country Boy in the feature Digicel Irish Jamaican Stakes over 1300 metres.

Jamaican rider Wesley Henry who also came to ride here on Indian Arrival Day, had five mounts with a best finish of third astride Cuatro Tempo.
