UNC surfaced roads
I know that the Hindus have no problem with the Trinity part, just the cross. But the trident of Shiva is a cross of sorts, so if a Hindu has to receive a Trinity award it can be modified to a trident to soothe their ruffled feathers. This suggestion is from a Hindu and people of other religions that have suggestions for themselves can do so if they have to benefit from such an award.
But personally, I think that attention should be paid to the way roads are paved. I live in the Chase Village area and the way I see this being done, I feel like slapping someone. Our great Minister of some kind of Works seems to have disappeared altogether after his last comments on whatever.
So the pavers and patchers of the roads are now doing whatever they feel like doing. Wherever patches are required, the gang can be seen filling the holes with gravel and tar. When they are finished the result is either a ditch of gravel and tar, or a mini-mountain of gravel and tar. Either one makes one cringe to look at far less to drive on.
The inevitable circling around it by our skilled drivers continues just as when the pot-craters are there. And what of the drivers; they do not seem to notice that other drivers are on the road. They could drive right through another vehicle just because they haven’t seen it or they think others should move aside for them.
If the minions of the Minister are reading this for reporting to him, then I suggest they remind him of the days when the UNC was in government and was actually surfacing all roads.
