Uppers edge Horizon in PoS n-ball

In Marjorie John A2 Division action, Horizon were also narrowly beaten 33-32 by Mucurapo Ex-Pupils. The ex-students had goal-attack Nariba Grant scoring 20 goals from 34 attempts and Donessa Wickham 13 of 24 while both Nadia Greene, from 26 attempts, and K’lene Lewis, from 28 attempts, scored 16 goals each for Horizon.

Chips whipped Sparkles 43-25 in their Lady Erna Reece Intermediate 1 Division game. Joelisa Cooper had 30 goals from 41 attempts and Leann O’Brien 13 from 21 for Chips, while Lavaughn O’Neil netted 19 of 29 attempts and Judy Jack six of eight for the losing team.

In the other game in the same division, Defence Force edged Police 22-19 with Erica Jobe netting 14 of 23 attempts and Magnalene Tracy eight of 15. Giselle Norton had 14 of 20, Cathy Ann Cain four of six and Tracey Regis one of one for the policewomen.

SWWTU Malvern swamped CS Jets 26-3 in their Barbara Burnette B2 Division match. Patrina Ashby scored 17 of 28 attempts and Kristin Murrell nine of 14 for the winners, while Sharlene Sebro scored two goals and Shinell Corion one for the Jets.

Mucurapo Junior Secondary won by default over Sparkles and Arima United won over Netaces by the same route in the Phyllis Pierre-Walker Intermediate 2 Division.
