Steel Party in Dortmund

Trinidad and Tobago playing Sweden in the World Cup football finals, on Saturday, is the first game here and for sure a magnet to bring party people into town. What a great chance to lime and have a good time. And Caribbean Soccer Night at the Solendo, Speicherstrasse 2a, will be the right venue to do so.

Dortmund Steelpan-Association Pan-Kultur eV in cooperation with the Solendo successfully managed to bring back on stage Ebony and Nostalgia steelbands from London, both are top-acts in the European and International Steelband-scene. It was in late March, that both bands had taken away the crowds at the Solendo and made long–lasting winter being forgotten for two days. “Ebony and Nostalgia bandleaders were so impressed by the almost Caribbean enthusiasm of the Dortmund audience that they spontaneously agreed to come back for another show and paint the place red,” Juergen Lesker, Pan-Kultur board member, is delighted to mention.

Apart from the two British bands, the local top act Baeng Baeng Pan-Kultur’s main orchestra — will enter stage on Dortmund’s hippest beach location.
