Cases of beer stolen from truck

According to reports, at about 2 pm, the vehicle was travelling west along the highway in the vicinity of Courts Megastore when two men got out of a vehicle that was travelling behind the truck.

The men then proceeded to hold up the truck driver in the middle of the highway. The bandits pointed a gun at the security officer and driver and demanded cash and valuables.

The bandits stole two cases of beer, personal belongings of the driver and a cheque with an undisclosed amount of money. The bandits then ran back to their vehicle and sped off.

A report was made to the Barataria police who are continuing investigations.
