Cigarette keeps lighting up Santa Rosa

Rusalka looked sharp over a similar trip as the filly prepares for tomorrow’s second race over 1100 metres on the turf course. She should go very close.

Run Manie Run looked good in his run over 400 metres completed in a good 25.89 seconds and is one to keep an eye on in tomorrow’s finale.

Honor Bound showed he will be in the picture in the Restricted Handicap over 1100 metres on the turf with a sparkling gallop over 600 metres in 37.79 seconds, best in this category for the morning. Turfites will have their plate full on Saturday, with the Arima Race Club bringing them the World Cup football match between our “Soca Warriors” and Sweden on a 52 inch television “big screen,” the second Test match between West Indies and India and the Belmont Stakes apart from the local eight-race programme.

Racing tomorrow will begin at 2 pm, but early bird turfites will be able to view the football which kicks off at noon and the cricket Test which starts at 10 am. Tomorrow’s card will have some small fields, but the racing on paper looks very competitive.
