‘Band of Angels’ cop says goodbye

Thomas, who is also an attorney-at-law, was attached to the Guard and Emergency Branch, Court and Process, Northern Division, Special Mobile Patrol and the Complaints Division during his 35 years of employment with the Police Service.

Thirteen of Thomas’ batchmates, otherwise known as the “Band of Angels,” attended the party, and his wife, Ethlyn, was also on hand for the occasion.

The were 252 police officers in the batch, inclusive of 23 women, when it “passed out” on May 11, 1972. Also in attendance was Superintendent Fitzroy Fredericks.
