UK medic:
SCOTS WHO want England to fail in the World Cup suffer from low self-esteem and a deep-rooted inferiority complex, according to a medical expert.
Dr Alex Yellowlees, the medical director of the Priory Hospital in Glasgow, said many Scots bolstered their low self-esteem “by talking big and shouting across the border.”
“The only way they can cope is to act with bravado.”
The doctor’s theory may help to explain why Trinidad and Tobago football shirts have sold out in Scottish sports shops in advance of their Group B match with England.
More than 4,000 people have visited a Church of England website a 28 percent increase since it posted two prayers calling for God’s blessing on the England football team. “You don’t find many atheists during penalty shoot-outs,” said a Church spokesman.
