Bountiful Harvest field day

Bountiful Harvest has three modes of action. Apart from being an Organic Biostimulant , Bountiful Harvest increases humic acid production in the soil and also provides a natural source of micronutrients, vitamins, complex carbohydrates and enzymes which allows for enormous benefits to the plant.

Bountiful Harvest as the name implies will benefit farmers since it gives bountiful yields in a wide range of seedlings, vegetables and fruit trees.

Additionally it improves soil fertility and plant health and reduces plant water and fertiliser requirement by rapidly increasing microbial activity in the soil which increase humus production and as a result the availability of mineral plant nutrients, proteins, enzymes, antibiotoics and growth promoting substances.

Stakeholders of the agricultural crop farming community including extension officers from St Patrick East , West, St David and St Andrew, researchers of the University of the West Indies as well as farmers from Caratal, La Savanne and the Aranjuez farming districts were able to view the effects on fields treated with Bountiful Harvest at the field day.

Many were impressed with the fields of sweet pepper and tomato treated with Bountiful Harvest which had a higher average number of fruits per plant, earlier maturing fruits, five to six fruits per bunch, plants with numerous side shoots and suckers for increased yield, a more uniformed fruit set and plant growth and plants with greater tolerance of diseases including Phytophthora root rot. Extremely visible was the celery field treated with Bountiful Harvest which had thicker stems, increased numbers of stalks per plant, increased height of stems and much more uniformed foliage and leaf size. Trials conducted in other crops included cabbage where heavier and more uniformed size of heads were obtained.

For cantaloupe and cucumber the yields per plant were higher and earlier fruit sets were obtained. Trials in bodi resulted in farmers harvesting 30 bundles more per harvest.

Harry Seeram, the marketing director of Caribbean Chemicals informed farmers and stakeholders present that he believes Bountiful Harvest has a vital role to play in the future of agriculture in Trinidad and Tobago since it increases yields by 25 percent, gives earlier maturity of fruits, uniformed fruit and plant size, reduces fertiliser requirements of crops and improves soil structure.

Furthermore he stated the fact that Bountiful Harvest has organic certification by OMRI will further increase the need for Bountiful Harvest being used in crop production in light of the new trade agreements required for the export of produce to Caricom, North America and Europe.
