Little drops of water

“Little drops of water, little grains of sand form the mighty ocean and the pleasant land.”

Unfortunately, too many of us seem not to recognise the importance of little things, but without the tiny hidden thought of man, nothing great could be achieved.

There are some small children in the district who are practising the small offence of stealing the farmers’ cocoa, sucking the beans and having them strewn along the roads. I have complained to the three schools in the district, but the offence is continuing. This to my mind is setting the pace for larger, future offences.

Another default is the habit of allowing fowls to gravel the neighbours’ gardens. It may be one giant spinach or one tomato vine in his flower garden, which is of little moment to the owner of the fowl but of tremendous import to the owner of the plants. The remark is often heard “this old lady is hard, not even a fowl can cross her yard.” The fowl lays eggs to its owners but the neighbour’s plants are dead.

The public must be informed of the legal implications of such simple things. Can you imagine that one planter cannot cultivate certain crops on his lot due to the gravelling of fowls?
