Bajan honour for ‘Pres’ cricketers
The honour will be bestowed on Presentation for their participation in every Sir Garry tournament since its inception in 1986.
Two other teams — St Mary’s College and Queen’s Park Cricket Club — will also be participating in this year’s series. Promising wicketkeeper/batsman Miguel Heeraman who narrowly missed selection on TT’s Under-19 team for the TCL West Indies Youth Challenge in Barbados in July, will lead the side in their effort to gain top honours.
Also included in the Chaguanas team is Azaruddin Mohammed, the younger brother of West Indies “A” team batsman, Jason Mohammed, and dependable all-rounder, Richard Ramlal.
The team will again be managed and coached by veteran administrator, Lalman Kowlessar.
Teams from Canada, England, India, South Africa, Bermuda, together with sides from most of the Caribbean countries are expected to take part.
Combermere High School from Barbados is the defending champion team.
