Police needed in the trenches

The police put “No parking signs” but do not monitor them, so people remove the signs and park, by the time the police return (if ever they do) it is too late.

Simple solution — designate a wrecking service which would tow away any vehicle incorrectly parked to a site nearby for retribution by owner. We all know drivers respect the wrecker.

In Carenage the problem is caused similarly as with Maracas, by drivers parking on the road to enter the bars for drinks. We have the experience to solve this traffic pile-up. We did it for the Ms Universe show. Thousands of cars absolutely no traffic, the plan was simple no parking on the street.

Look, we do not have super highways, just two lane roads with plenty cars, so why should a few inconvenience many.

Now, we always blame the Minister of National Security and hold him responsible, but this is a simple police matter, where is the Commissioner or his deputies, you could never see them around trying to get first hand views, they do police work from offices, never in the trenches.
