Workshop for b-ball coaches

Organised by the National Basketball Federation of Trinidad and Tobago (NBFTT), the workshops will start at 3 pm today and run for the next four Saturdays, at the same venue and time.

Interested persons can call the NBFTT’s office, located at the Maloney Sport Arena, at 646-1663 or Dale Carrington at 718-9023.

In related news, the NBFTT is calling all basketball players born on or after January 1, 1990 to compete in the national Under-16 tournament.

The tournament, which tips off in July, will be held in five areas — North-East, South-Central, South-East, South-West and Tobago, with the respective winners participating in day-long finals at the Saith Park facility.

Following that event, 40 players will be short-listed for selection on the national team for the 2007 CBC Junior Championships in Bahamas.
