Scalextric season underway

Action will begin at 1 pm with the preliminary rounds of the respective age groups Under-15 and 15-75.

For this year’s competitions, the Model Car Association of Trinidad and Tobago has acquired a new Scalextric Sports Track.

It also features hi-tech a state-of-the-art multi-lane race management system that gives the laps of each car, the time of each lap to a hundredth of a second and the total time of the winner’s 20 laps on a computer screen. Diamond Motors Limited, distributors for Mitsubishi, have donated 12 Mitsubishi Evolution 7 high performance scalextric cars.

As far as sponsorship is concerned, Joseph Charles Solo Beverages will fund the Under-15 age group while TracMac Castrol Motor Oil will invest in the 15-75 age group.
