UNC mourns Ganace Ramdial
Speaking during the UNC’s “Meet the Grassroots Tour” yesterday at Bangladesh South, St Joseph, she said, “His performance as President of the Senate of Trinidad and Tobago was exemplary. During that period, he often served as President of the Republic. He displayed the highest professional standards at all times, which he coupled with warmth, grace and a charming personality.” The Opposition Leader said her predecessor, Basdeo Panday, had also expressed his “deepest and most heartfelt sympathies.”
Following a moment of silence in Ramdial’s memory, Persad-Bissessar said that the UNC will fly the national flag at its Rienzi Complex Headquarters at half-mast until Ramdial’s interment.
