DPP to decide in Allaham killing

Homicide detectives were scheduled to meet with DPP (South) Roger Gaspard after a post-mortem result concluded that Allaham was stabbed to death. Allaham, 41, of Khanhai Branch Trace, died as a result of shock and haemorrhage due to a stab wound.

The incident occurred around 5 pm after Allaham, a father of three, was seen arguing with a male relative.

Police reports indicated the argument was over a piece of property in Barrackpore.

Earlier that day, Allaham had gone to the funeral of PowerGen employee Anil Jailal, who was killed in an explosion at the power supply company compound last Wednesday.

If homicide detectives receive instructions to charge the suspect, he is expected to appear in the Princes Town Magistrate’s Court today.
