Sean Luke murder accused ill

On the last court appearance on July 26, the 13-year-old accused did not appear due to chicken pox illness. However, both accused teenagers did not appear yesterday.

Magistrate Marcia Ayres-Caesar was told by attorney Wayne Sturge that his client - the 13-year-old - was still suffering from the illness while the 16-year-old accused had also contracted the disease. Both teenagers remain at the Youth Training Centre (YTC) in Arouca.

State attorney Nirana Parsan asked magistrate Ayres-Caesar to adjourn the matter which she did, ordering the case to be heard again on July 17. Luke was murdered on March 28 and his body was found in a canefield behind his Orange Valley, Waterloo home.
