Crawford back on the job

While in Germany Crawford gave the mission a little scare when he suffered severe cramps to his stomach. Not taking any chances, the German officials insisted that he be taken to a medical institution for treatment. That he did and was out by the next day.

When Newsday asked Crawford about his condition yesterday, he laughed and started his answer by emphatically stating: “I had nothing close to any heart attack!

I have a nervous stomach and anything strange going into it upsets me.” He added that it was perhaps the salty German sausages that he had which may have caused the disturbance in his stomach.

However, since returning from Germany, the 1976 Olympic medalist said that he took a few days off to undergo some medical tests to make sure that everything is okay.

Those tests were done at the Augustus Long Medical facility in Pointe-A-Pierre and at St Clair Medical Centre in Port of Spain. And Crawford has assured yesterday that everything is fine thus far.
