Mamaguy...

THE EDITOR: I wish Digicel could take a few minutes away from boasting to provide the winner of their January competition with the motor car promised.

I have called the offices of the company on several occasions only to be told that “we’re little busy now but we shall soon make the announcements.”

If the Irish company wants to know Trini culture, the executives better understand that we call that “ah mamaguy;” the younger generation of Trinis may say “they putting we on ah scene.”

Whichever generation you choose to listen to Mr Digicel, I, a participant in the competition, feel like everyone else who was involved that the time has long past for distribution of the littlest car (a little bigger than one of your fancy cell phones) in Trinidad and Tobago today.
