Val Trin crowned UWI champs

The Val Trin men whipped Strikers 4-2 on kicks from the penalty spot last weekend last.

And Joe Youths will meet Caroni in the knock-out final after both teams scored comfortable victories in their semi-finals.

The Joe Youths men smashed IRS 6-0 with both Kwesi Thomas and Banko Da Costa scoring doubles, while Leandro Moncao and Terrance McAllister got one goal each. Caroni stopped Young Lions 3-1 with Anthony Quashie, Guido Gonzales and Ronny Jobes scoring one goal apiece. Ako Jones got the consolation goal for the losers.

Meanwhile, the Premier League final between Joe Youths and M&M Real Maracas will be contested at UWI ground today from 4 pm.
