Students show off culinary skills

Among other past students that displayed their culinary skills this year were Principal of the College, Fr. Ron Mendes, Richard Callender and Cleve Leonard. Also, past students of other schools presented another challenge to the Saints in the persons of Keith Simpson of Fatima contingent, Waz Hosein of QRC team and Dr Theresa Yorke-Metzger of the St Joseph’s Convent team.

Over 50 mouth-watering desserts were served up by the legendary Guy Chan Poon and his crew, and to carry every morsel down, a complimentary bar was present for the entire evening.

Before the stage entertainment door prizes were handed out to Lisa Jaikaransingh, Hermatie Alexander, Carol-Ann Mc Kell and Margaret Taylor.

Providing music for dining were the Starlift Steel Orchestra with “100 Ways,” ‘Sa-yamanda,’ “Dancing Queen”, ‘It’s So Nice To Be With You” and “Mr Bojangles,’ followed by entertainer Relator (Willard Harris) who nearly had patrons choking with laughter at his customary imitations of American jazz singers like Dean Martin and Louis Armstrong and delivery of well known calypsoes of yesteryear.

H20 Phlo closed the evening with their stint on stage, much to the delight of the patrons who started dancing by that time.
