Holy Faith grads told

THE 2006 Graduates of Holy Faith Convent, Couva, were told “to be women of substance in the world of today, and never lose your identity.”

They were reminded that “you have great power in your hands and never under-estimate your ability to negotiate.”

The advice came from Tracy Sobit-Evelyn, Group Marketing Specialist, of TCL Group of Companies at the school’s graduation ceremony last week.

Sobit-Evelyn who delivered the feature address reminded her audience that women effectively managed their homes, and in that regard “you have shown patience and resilience.”

“Be who you truly are and sometimes it is good to go beyond the grain to show the mettle from which you have been made,” she said.

She told the graduates that they had great potential “and must fight fearlessly for what you conceive to be right. Forge your own future and the Lord will help you in that direction.”

Principal Angela Iloo said the school’s mission statement is geared towards producing students who are holistically developed to hold their own in the wider society so that the nation-building process would be enhanced.

“As we come to the end of five busy and eventful years, I would like to thank you all for the contributions you have made to our school community. The teachers and I have watched you grow and develop into outstanding individuals. You have been a credit to the school, yourselves and your families,” she said.

“I hope to see many of you in the sixth form in September. Those who will make other choices remember to continue to strive to be the best you can possibly be. As you all move into the next phase of your lives, never under-estimate the ability you have to make a difference.” See Page 8.
