Are public buildings ready for severe weather?

In all the reminders to the public making us aware of the need to prepare for severe weather, I would like to know if we can be reassured that all the public buildings in Trinidad and Tobago are being suitably put in order so that they do not become a danger to the public.

Are the drains being cleared?

Have the roofs been checked to ensure that galvanise sheets will not blow off and cut off someone’s head? etc, etc.

This would be a good subject for all the new health and safety officers to get involved in as a matter of urgency.

Wake up Trinidad and Tobago, insist that public servants do the necessary.
