She told Sunday Newsday her husband will break his silence in due course but has asked to be given time to deal with the series of unprecedented events. Sharma spent part of the day yesterday with his sons at his Maraval home. In the afternoon he met with legal experts to discuss his matter. He also met with Senior Counsel Frank Solomon but it was not clear whether he also offered legal advice to Sharma.
Sources said the Chief Justice appeared withdrawn yesterday but dispelled reports that he was depressed over the series of events that unfolded at his home on Friday.
“Of course he is upset but he is a strong person and whatever the outcome, he is ready and prepared to deal with it,” a relative said yesterday.
