Cocorite man on 22 charges

It was alleged that on April 7 this year, Joseph shot at Aaron James, Kevin Ward, Ryan Sookram, Clayton Duncan, and Maurice Mootieram, at Waterhole, Cocorite, with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was also charged with robbing the five men of cash, jewelry and cell phones.

Joseph was also charged with possession of firearms and ammunition to endanger lives.

His attorney Patrick Godson-Phillips applied for bail, but the prosecutor objected on the grounds of prevalence and the number of charges before the court.

The magistrate adjourned the matter to today to deal with the issue of bail.
