Veteran singer Dookie takes Mastana top spot

Dressed in white, Annie re-enacted the role of Bollywood star Zeenat Aman in a temple setting, as she did her rendition. She became the fourth grand-finalist of this programme.

Dancer Anissa Ali and her group took the second position and Nisha Maharaj took the third place. Harrinarine Sawh came in fourth position. Model Rad-hika Rampaul won the Miss Naturally Fair competition. Roshini Baboo of Santa Cruz came in second place. The programme was taped at the Gulf City Auditorium on Thurdsay evening.

Mastana’s fifth programme will take place at Gulf City on July 20 at 5.30 pm. The following contestants will appear before the judges: Riaz Mohammed, Dion Dookie, Deveanand Sookram, Asha Camachie, Neval Chatelal, Kishana Bhimull, Samantha Ramcharan, Shekkar Ramlal and Rianne Sinanan.

The National Flour Mills pick-a-pan contest is $3,650.
