According to Petrotrin acting manager, corporate communications, Rudolph Thomas, his company handed the cheque to TTCB chief executive officer Forbes Persaud.
And after receiving the $30,000 cheque, Persaud said: “The Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board is extremely grateful to Petrotrin and we can assure them that this would go a long way in assisting us as we continue to implement developmental programmes.
“This would also help us to meet some of our administrative costs,” the former school teacher said.
Noting that Petrotrin have provided significant support to the TTCB over the years, Persaud added: “It is support like this from corporate bodies that helps to keep the TTCB afloat as we are a non-profit organisation and we depend on corporate sponsorship. We Look forward to continued support and co-operation from Petrotrin in the future.”
The TTCB are seeking to enhance the infrastructure for cricket in Trinidad and Tobago with the aim to improving the standard of cricket regionally and to remain competitive at international level.
