Cefiro dashboards cracking up

The dashboards of many Nissan Cefiro cars aged more than three to four years become very susceptible to cracking. Once the dashboard begins to crack, there is little that can be done to stop the damage. To date, I have spoken to more than 56 Cefiro owners who have complained of varying degrees of this problem, with some indicating that the cracking began after the warranty, be it three months or one year, had expired. Where such dashboard cracking occurred within the warranty period, owners were informed by local foreign-used dealers that the problem was a manufacturer’s defect, and such dealers were not liable.

A simple visual survey of the dashboard of Nissan Cefiro vehicles parked anywhere would attest to this problem. While this may not be confined to Nissan Cefiro cars only, it is certainly most prevalent in these foreign-used vehicles.
