Bernard Primus to be cremated today

Primus died in the presence of his wife and some of his children at Westshore Medical Centre in Cocorite following a very brief illness.

Primus was best remembered for his many years as chairman of various boards that included the Orange Grove National Co Ltd, Trinidad and Tobago Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), Trinidad-Tesoro Petroleum Co Ltd, Trintovac Developments Ltd, Tobago Holidays Ltd and Trinidad Bagasse Products Ltd.

Primus was also a member of the Bar Association of Trinidad and Tobago, and an honorary member of both OWTU and the Secondary School Teachers’ Association.

Before that Primus served as College Master of Presentation College, Chaguanas and later, worked as a refinery operator at Royal Dutch Shell in Curacao.

He then attended Lycee Schoelcher in Fort-de-France and London School of Economics, to further his education.

Primus leaves to mourn his wife Argelia, children Minder Rismay, Ian Joseph, Judy Chow, Elizabeth, George and Simone Primus, and siblings Maurice and Bertha Primus. He was also the grandfather of eleven and great grandfather of many.
