Ramnarine, new chairman of Couva/Tabaquite/Talparo Corp

Ramnarine succeeded Alderman Jeewan Mungroo and Boondoo replaced Lennox Sankersingh, former Leader of the National Alliance for Reconstruction (NAR).

The Election of Chairman of the Couva/Tabaquite/Talparo Regional Corporation took place yesterday.

Witnessing the ceremony were Dr Tim Gopeesingh, CEO of the UNC and Vasant Bharat, Deputy Political Leader of the Party. Several other chairpersons for various standing committees, including public health, infrastructure, finance and personnel were eleced.

The CEO of the Corporation, Pamela Doon, challenged Council-lors to service the electorate more meaningfully and establish projects that are central to the growth and development of the areas which they represent.
