Fire official denies water shortage

Springle said the cause of the fire is yet to be determined and the Fire Prevention Unit will carry out investigations at the scene tomorrow.

Springle said eight appliances, including water tankers and tenders were at the scene.

“We came well prepared. The National Library had a supply of water in a pool and there is a hydrant. WASA also sent water tankers,” he stated.
