However, she related, when she received the items she realised that she was charged $89 for each of the three parts for the stove. Springer said she contacted the store to complain about the overpricing.
When she demanded a refund, she told The People’s Hotline, the store clerk refused. When Hotline checked with Lewis Appliance, an official apologised and promised to deal with the matter promptly.
A thankful Springer called Hotline yesterday saying she received her refund, and was very grateful to Newsday for helping her solve this problem.
