Ferreira pair gallop into ‘Midsummer’ fray

These two fillies galloped together over 1000 metres yesterday morning, completing the trip in a handy one minute 05.88 seconds.

“Big Noise” Sara’s Music was again seen out on the morning, and he paced over 400 metres in 29.89 seconds.

Also looking quite well while doing pace work over 400 metres yesterday was Godspell who was timed in 29.98 seconds.

Another “Midsummer” candidate Greek Princess, was sent over 1400 metres and returned a handy one minute 40.15 seconds for the spin.

The John O’Brien-trained pair of Chief Commander and Hello Yankee who hold the President’s Cup engagement looked very fit in their workout.

Both horses galloping separately, were taking a very strong hold on the bit and had to be restrained.

Chief Commander went over 1000 metres in one minute 14.97 seconds while Hello Yankee went through his paces in one minute 11.08 seconds.
