Manning no-show at PNM camps

The children braved inclement weather to gather at The Hollows at Queen’s Park Savannah to enjoy entertainment and refreshments provided largely by SM Jaleel.

The PM was due to arrive at 1 pm, but at 2 pm, a PNM official told reporters Manning was still in his regular Wednesday Finance Committee meeting which usually runs from 1 pm to 4 pm. The savannah event served several hundred children drawn from the 3,000 children attending the PNM’s 41 vacation camps across Trinidad and Tobago.

Rae-Ann Clement, Chubby brand manager for SM Jaleel, told Newsday that her company was yesterday launching its “play park,” which resembles an inflatable bouncy castle and that this facility would soon be taken to sites across Trinidad and Tobago.
