Celebrating Lopinot’s heritage

This event, which forms part of the celebrations being held to mark the village’s 200th anniversary, seeks to draw attention to the restoration of TT’s Hispanic inheritance through the presentation of traditional food and beverages and how they are made.

“La Vida en La Hacienda y Sabor de Lopinot” will feature musical performances by various parang bands, as well as by David Singh, the Caribbean’s only maker of the harp.

Guests will also be treated to various “old world foods,” including clay oven-baked bread, cassava bread, corn bread, smoked pork, fish and chicken. Traditional Spanish dishes will also be available, such as pastelles, arepas, empanadas and sancoche.
