Rajiv’s distinct voice brought silence to the hall when he belted out the Kishore Kumar rendition “Mere Naina Sawan Bhadon.” He is the sixth grand finalist. Also in winners’ row were: Aanika Seecharan who took the second position, Reshma School of Dance in third place and Lalchan Ramah of Point Fortin in fourth position.

The beautiful model Reshma Ramsaran won the Miss Naturally Fair contest. She wore a purple garara which was heavily worked up in gold beads and sequins.

Members of the audience benefited from give-aways from Rajiv’s Jewellers, Crix Crackers, Water One, Elvis Marketing and Xtra Foods Limited.The seventh semi-final programme is carded to take place at the Gulf City Complex tomorrow. The following contestants will be performing: Shalini Gopaul, Parasram Colai, Ayana Grantum and Randy Bhwanie, Nirmala Ramkhelawan, Ornella Sawh, Rena Sinanan, Kala Sangam Dance Group, Kavita Dial, and Akash Kissoon.

The National Flour Mills Pick-a-Pan jackpot is now $4,650.
